ok well if the title didn't catch your attention then get out of my thread.

so basically i'm taking a trip to japan and i HATE flying because it's so damn boring. to get to the point, i'm thinking of getting either an ipod, psp, or nintendo ds... i'm also considering long term use, but i think i'll get the most play with the ipod. then again only using an ipod on a trip does also have it's limitations when you're bored up in your room and all your friends are still crashed from the night before.. so what do you suggestion that i choose to buy for this trip??

For me, it would be the iPod and a notebook to write and sketch in. And if your friends tend to sleep in later than you do, I can only conclude that you're not holding up your end of the partying agreement. Slacker.

go for the ipod or the psp. i never play my nintendo ds, never have much. it's cool and all, but you get sick of it very fast.

I got my iPod when I was flying to Israel (17 hours). I LOVE that thing. I did see some kids with laptops watching movies, too.

That opinion is based solely on the fact that the iPod has a narrower design focus...music (mostly). Devices that are aimed toward versatility tend to suck more at everything they do.

i can do anything on my macbook pro that i can on an ipod or a psp.. the only downside: it doesn't fit in my pocket.

and i usually take my computer on flights and program. i have lots of unfinished products that i'll eventually share with the rest of the world.

shhh that was a future christmas present. i was gonna pop out of a huge fedex box only wearing my hat.

as for giga...i think overall the two people that i'm going with.. they aren't really much of a partier... i'd say they are gonna drink about half the time that we will be up in japan. we have separate rooms and i'm not the one sharing a room so most likely i'll have time to kill. also for some weird reason, i just get up early. regardless of how much i drink, i'm a morning person.

yeah i am really considering the ipod because i can't go a few days without some sorta music... also in the long run, i will use it when i exercise.

the only down side that i'm considering is that i don't really wanna be staring out the airplane window and only listen to music, i can only take so much of that too. hey, can't you put movies on your ipod too?? and end up watching them on a 2 inch screen.

a book?? hahahaha i do enough reading on the forums. here's another thing, keep in mind that i can't sit still for very long. come to think of it, i dont' remember the last time that i actually read a book. it was probably back in my high school days if not earlier where i had to read something for school.

I like magazines better for flying... my attention span tends to be too short for books when flying, for some reason.
