how can u tell you're ready for sex?

hey i was just wondering from reading previous threads in which the guy wasnt ready for it but he was still going to do it... how do you really know that you are ready for it?

if you have to ask if you're ready for sex...you're not ready. simple as that. if you have no doubts in your mind, then you're ready

But what if I have no doubts but then see some sex thread in LF and start asking myself if I am ready or not?

I think a person is ready for sex when they are ready to responsibly handle the negative consequences that can arise as a result (STDs, pregnancy, infidelity, etc.) which means that I think the vast majority of people start too young. Evidence to support my point of view are the rates of unplanned pregnancies and STD transmissions amongst teenagers.
