The Number 23

This is a terrible movie, I am sorry to report. While I was never a huge fan of Ace Ventura, Dumb & Dumber, etc., I having nothing but the utmost respect for Jim Carrey as an actor after seeing him in The Truman Show and especially The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

He is wasted on this stupid, sad movie.

He must have lost a bet.

These were the only two movies he has ever done that I liked, and both were a surprise.

Yeah The Number 23 was definitely depressing. It had a good enough premise but it seemed to have an identity crisis. It builds it up to be a thriller than turns into a mediocre drama.

On an unrelated note, Zodiac was epic and amazing.

The best part about the Number 23 was the trailer for Hot Fuzz, the new movie from Simon Pegg and Whatshisname, the guys who did Shaun of the Dead (my favorite movie, ever).

It's three hours long, so there's that. But I'd definitely say it's worth a rent, if you're into those kind of movies. It was far in a way the scariest movie I've ever seen.

Hot Fuzz is going to kick so much ass. It's already gotten some pretty good reviews.
