What does it mean when the girl you like's best friend askes you if you like her?

Recently this girl I like, lets call her Jane. Well Janes best friend asked me if I liked Jane. Can somebody give me an idea of what this means?

It probably means that she has been talking about you (probably good things) to her friend. Or maybe her friend thinks you would be a good boyfriend for her and is wondering if you like her back.

I would have to agree. If she had her friend ask you if you liked her than there is a pretty good chance that she likes you too. Save yourself alot of trouble and just ask her out.

Well I asked this girls friend why she asked me if I like this girl, and she just said that she could tell and it was obvious. So I guess she is just nosey. But that still doesn't mean she doesn't like me right?
