Marriage brings two people together,
To love and to hold forever and ever.
No one in this World compares with you,
For you are the one, my love is so true.
In the years to come, decades and more,
I'll be at your side like a solid brick wall.
I'm ...here for you, to protect and love,
Yada-yada-yada and all the above.
The words do not matter, for you already know,
They've been unimportant since a long time ago.
It's the feelings we feel and the adventure we share,
That makes this friendship that extra bit rare.
You sit on your chair in completer disbelief,
Thinking: "how can my bub write a masterpiece?",
There's a lot you don't know, and this may sound lame,
My heart burns for you like an eternal flame
I don't want to finish, but I think that I must,
I'll end it all without a great big fuss.
The poem I mean, definitely not my life,
Because I'm with you- My Beautiful Wife.
and another...
The day to day grind is such a struggle,
I feel like I’ve been buried beneath the rubble.
Why can’t I catch a break? What’s it all going to take?
I have my goals, they’re plain and clear,
I take a step forward and get pushed to the rear.
People depend on me to take action,
And, when things don’t work out, morale drops a fraction.
I don’t mean to be upset, I don’t mean to get angry,
But THIS IS HOW I AM, when I’m not with my baby.
You make me whole. You make me complete.
I’m nothing without you. I feel defeat.
I sit here reading the poem above,
And realize, ‘that’s not how I feel, my love’
For, you see, it’s not the work load, or soon to be long hours,
But, the time we spend on this Earth, it should be ours.
But never fear, my beautiful wife,
We have forever, just like a knife.
A knife, of course, can stay sharp forever,
It requires a lot of work however.
I feel so bad because I’m down all the time,
But you need to stay strong and tell me ‘Get back in line!’
Don’t tell me to not be upset or not be angry,
Just tell me to stop bein’ a big ol’ baby.
It won’t last forever; it’s not so bad,
I can’t be weak; I can’t let it get me mad.
I love you so much; I want you to know,
That, when I’m with you I won’t feel so low!
