Different roles for men and women in a relationship?

There seems to be this idea going around that men and women have the exact same role in a relationship.. that the sex organs are just coincidence and that both are 'equal'.

Who here actually believes this?
For those who don't, what in your opinion are the different roles?

Of course they are equal, but their roles in a relationship are different.

And the roles are different, but they're neither finite nor universally applicable. It's possible for the man OR woman to be "the more emotional one" or "the one who cooks and cleans".
