Its not necessarily a good OR a bad thing. It's a motherly thing and its expected. At least her mom is taking an interest in who her daughter is dating. If I had a daughter, I would want to know who she was dating.

Vashti is right. Your gonna have to meet her soon or she will get suspicious. And YES, she could keep you two from seeing each other if she doesn't approve.

Just be polite and don't do anything stupid in front of her mom and you should be just fine.
