You can't just "donate" bone marrow; you have to register and they call you if it's needed.

I see. Could you elaborate more on the bone marrow thing? The woman at the blood donation place gave me a leaflet about it and asked us if we could register. I thought about it but I don't know what the process is. Do they cut you open and take is from the inside of your bones or something haha?

If you want to be on the Bone Marrow donors list, you need to register. In order to register you have to make an appt or go whenthey have open registrations (similar to a blood drive) All they do is take some blood and determine what match you might be and they keep it on file.

Later, if someone needs it and you're a match, you will be called upon. I registered years ago.
