Hurricanes and tornadoes!

Wooooooooo!

We're gathering things for our "hurricane kit".

As well as developing an escape strategy.

I'm thinkin' we should stick around and loot the damn place.

Hell yea bring it on! I say that now, but when those babies come we'll be hauling ass out of here. We're right on the water. Thank God I was able to convince my hubby to buy insurance. The gulf down here in Sarasota is already 85 (according to the weather people) It is warm!!
everything happens for a reason...beginning to wonder why.

Hurricane kit, I wouldn't forget to include a couple of AK47s (most reliable rifle for the money) with at least 5 or 6 40 round clips, a few hundred rounds of ammo, and a few handguns

We have the glock and a shot gun, now I guess a rifle is next. Enough ammo to shoot one person a day for the 10 years. This is ALL my hubby. I don't like guns so he keeps it all out sight. I think we should get a generator but if one comes we will be evacuated.

Tornado season here!

We had the sirens going off for over an hour and a half tonight. Tornado was spotted but didn't touch ground, at least not here.

Yeah, we only have to worry about earthquakes, fire and flooding.

...and mudslides!

we've been having tornados here.

i've also been having dreams about tornados. i had one dream where i looked out my bedroom door and there was this huge, black, swirl coming right at me. i woke up in a panic to look.

irl those things have been taking down small towns.
baby ya hustle. but me i hustle harder.

I thought New Mexico was relatively free of natural disasters (except fire). Wow... weird.

We actually had a tornado in Riverside a couple of months ago. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/01/25/national/main3752785.shtml

yeah we get tornados. they usually don't come to the city cause the mountains block them off. they happen in the southern part of the state mostly.

I've been here 5 years... still haven't seen a tornado. I did see a really bad storm where trees and shit everywhere were ripped out of the ground and stuff, but that wasn't a tornado.

I would pack some condoms in with your hurricane kit as well... Without electricity, how else are you gonna have fun?
