Want to break up with girlfriend

I've been dating my girlfriend for about a year now. She has 4 children and recently we moved to a new state. We are living together along with the kids. We both have jobs but mine is quite stressful and demanding (meaning alot of hours are required). I want to end this relationship but I am not quite sure how. The kids have become attached to me and financially she is dependent on me since we relocated. When I mentioned us taking a "break" before she would freak out and start crying and telling me she can't make it without me and I always back down about it because I start feeling bad. I want to break up but i'm not sure how to go about it.

You just have to deal with the fact that she will be hurt. There is no other way around it. No backing out, suck it up and leave. Sorry.

• and a person who will hurt

Being hurt is part of a relationship.
Explain to her clearly why you came up with
that decision. Don't care if she will cry or anything,
for sure she can recover sooner or later.
