    approaching

i've never, ever in my life have approached a girl. the only way i approach women is through my friend which is a real looser way..

i keep being a wuss and give up my chance and always end up regreting..

    how do i approach them??

do i start by hi or something more interesting or what?????

    do i introduce my self?

make i complement??? i heard that they don't like too much of them..

    how do you do it????

Yeah, start with hi. And maybe throw in your first name somewhere. Just do it in a situation that feels comfortable to you, then you can be yourself.
    Sniff first, then scratch.

maybe you've seen all my threads I've made here, that's why lol.

    ok here's what I did last week to a girl I like(d).

I figured out a time where I can possibly get a few minutes or so to talk, and did just that. I thought of a few topics to talk about such as starting with school stuff, then maybe add in something interesting or funny at school. Oh and I made a thread about this that went like 4-5 pages of craziness.

So I did that and introduced myself first with a smile, and asked her what she was up to at that moment. She said she has class, then I asked her what class she had, and then asked her something relating to what class she was taking, and it took off from there. I think you just have to build off everything you/her say. I'm still struggling with that when talking with girls, but I think I'm getting better. I think the bottomline is, "be yourself." How do you talk to your friends? Talk to her like that, that is exactly how I've been trying to talk to this girl, as if she's one of my friends, and so far I've felt comfortable! Goodluck.

Having to think about what you start a conversation with is pointless. Start simple.

    Make eye contact and smile.

    Hi/hello/hey.

How are you?/Have you heard about (something)?/I like your (something [stick within reasonable boundaries]) - Any basic `small talk` question will do here.

Then just continue the conversation - think of simple neutral subjects before you do - making sure you ask questions whilst providing some interesting feedback. Limit use of `I` and increase use of `you`. Make sure questions follow on with the subject of the previous question (or better, extend her answer) so as to show her you're listening. Try and make sure you end the conversation, not her. If you get stuck then you're thinking too much; smile briefly while you regain your confidence.

Those are what I endorse anyway.

It means, if you worry too much about what you're saying, and trying to impress by being something you're not... it doesn't work, especially in the long run. So, do the opposite: don't place too much emphasis on what you're saying; keep it simple.

Possibly not the best way to explain it but I believe that conveys the point.

Maybe before being so worried about what to say to girls, you should work on finding your own identity.
