You are not dumb for not liking it. Your ex is projecting his desires from what he watches in porn. Now some girls do like it, but your ex was careless/selfish not to discuss if this is ok or not ok with you. Sex is a two way street, and when it comes to sex, communication with your partner is key. Next BF, or sexual encounter, it is within YOUR RIGHT to say no I don't feel comfortable doing that. You have every right to control the situation. If it jeopardizes your relationship, that's OK, that just means you are not sexually compatible and shouldn't be together. No guy is worth it, to have sex that isn't pleasurable to you. Have some self worth and respect. Stop all communication with your ex because it's making you have a poor image of yourself, and you don't need that in your life. Block his texts, his number, write him out of your life.
