I'll be honest and say that I'd be wary of the customs which come with other cultures. I'd want to make sure his beliefs regarding the role of men and women in relationships were similar to mine.
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

Totally understood. But putting religion and whatnot aside, would you ever find a brown male attractive? Reason I ask is because I like this white girl ...

I was seeing a South American (Chilean) man for 2 years. I must admit, I would be hesitant to do it again. Handsome f*cker, but disloyal, and he actually blamed his mother for his parent's divorce because she couldn't handle her husband's running around. He genuinely thought she should overlook it for the sake of the family, so long as he came home at night.
