Yes or no with male friend

So, my girl friend has asked if should could write another single male that she knows as a friend. We, currently live very far apart,, and she says a lot of things like she's very lonely and just wants a social life. I understand her being lonely,, because I am lonely and missing her as well. But the question is,, what are the thoughts around her mailing another single male. This other male is just a work friend that she met at work and they never socialized out of work. She says to me all the time that she is truly in love with me.
