    Three extractions in one day...

That's right, I had three teeth removed today. I am so sick of the taste of blood.

Anyone have any tips and tricks on how to better manage this?

    Floss regularly.

But seriously, just keep rinsing with water. It will stop bleeding soon.

A few months ago I got my wisdom teeth removed, yes all 4 at once! They gave me Vicodin and Ibuprofen, it helped A LOT for the pain. They also told me to make sure I didn't drink/eat hot things. So try eating ice cream or sucking on ice.

The warm salt water worked good for me when I had a bunch of teeth pulled before I got my braces. Not much you can do really, sometimes gauze helps.
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell,
    blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail?
    A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
    Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
    Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

They say chewing on cloves sometimes works and straight alcohol. I wouldn't know myself... never had a cavity or anything dental done besides braces.

Weed pretty much cures anything...it will help with the pain and not make you care about the fact that your bleeding from your mouth.

I can't take opiates or synthetic opiates... so it's pretty much tylenol for me, which sucks because it really doesn't work.

Going on three hours now. I've used an ice pack, gauze, and even tea bags... still bleeding profusely.

I may never eat another rare steak in my life after this.

I had all four wisdom teeth pulled in the same day. I did't take the pain killers because my stomach didn't like them, but the pain eases off fast. As for the blood, gauze...change it like clock work. They are open wounds and your face/head has an enormous amount of blood flow in and through it - bad combo.

On the plus side, more blood flow makes it heal faster, or so it seems.

    I don't think so....

I can't say I feel your pain, Aeradalia. I've never had a cavity, a tooth pulled, or even braces. I am dentally gifted.

I hope you feel better soon, and I'd keep up with the clean guaze until the bleeding stops.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

I had 3 wisdom teeth removed years ago (THAT explains why I still post here). I don't remember much pain, I just ate jello and gargled with salt water for a week or so.

Rent that movie about the guy who is ship-wrecked and has to use a skate to knock an abscess tooth out. That will put things in context.

So if we bred, our kids would have pristine teeth. lol

(although I attribute my dental health to the two extreme State fluoridation programs in my youth journey. I'll die of full blown instantaneous cancer from out of nowhere, but my casket smile will be photoshoot worthy)
