ok now the jerk definetly wins

    ok get this load:

this whole night i was talking to this girl, consoling her about her dumped BF, making her feel better, whatever. i take her back to my dorm for 5 minutes, she says hi to my roommate (she has met him once or twice before) and then asks him if they can be "snuggle buddies" or some BS like that.

i know that story is vague and confusing, but basically, my roommate sat on his butt playing computer games and gets a girl to sleep with him. i work at it and get nothing.

this is ridiculous. RIDICULOUS, so ridiculous i cant even spell it right.

I'm not sure if that makes him a jerk. In the times that they have met before she may have become interested in him. Girls won't be interested in you just because you console them. Its life. I mean, c'mon. You obviously feel that you should have been REWARDED for consoling her with her sleeping with you. Don't be so quick to judge until you know your own motives.
    I'm drowning in assholes.

Yea, I agree with Debunkt. The jerk doesn't win, the guy who she was interested in all along, won.

LOL! Now that's ridiculous. I understand the points raised in the previous posts, but I won't disagree that if I was in your situation, I might feel as though I got hosed. But I'm not, and looking at it from my perspective, that's some funny shit! Tough break dude.

I agree also. Don't think that consoling her is going to win her heart. And don't console her with that in mind. You complain about this although it seems a bit hypocritical. If you were expecting something for the comfort you were offering her (a relationship), then you aren't comforting her for the right reasons. You just use it to try to get something in return, and that's selfish. Comfort should be given to help that person, not to be used as a tool to your own advantage.

A wise person once told me that ppl sometimes confuse compassion & love. Sometimes they are connected, but be careful that you know the difference.

Maybe this girl watches those Elimidate shows (evidence that things have changed dramatically since I was dating). It freaks me out to watch those stupid dating shows on TV, because if that is really the way girls are supposed to act with guys in order to date, I would rather my daughter never date...

Oh yeah, I've watched that. It's gross. Usually they don't even care about the guy, they just want to win. And the men are stupid, of course
