Exercise and "health" knowledge have always been confusing and frustrating for me, but this problem REALLY messes with my head. (I'm a 25 year old, 5' female.)
I've been working out for about three months now. I go to the gym about 12 times a month (so spaced out to about 3 times a week.) I do about 15-20 minutes of Stair master (I hate cardio) and 30-40 minutes of low weight, high reps. Once a month I get an evaluation.
Before I started working out, my body was:
-29.8% body fat
-121 pounds
-Bust 35 1/2, Waist 32 1/4, Hips 36 3/4
Month 1:
-26.7% body fat
-121 pounds
-Bust 34 3/4, Waist 31, Hips 36 3/4
Month 2:
-26.6% body fat
-121 pounds
-Bust 35 3/4, Waist 32 1/2, Hips 37 1/4
So, I'm losing body fat, I stay the same weight, and yet I'm GAINING in inches. I'm bigger than when I started working out! If it was fat, wouldn't my body fat percentage be high again? What is going on??
Tacked On Question: What's my body shape? Never been able to figure it out.
