It can vary. Most often used is missionary variants. Positions from behind if contact with the cervix is desired. Spanking is fine, hair pulling fine, choking fine. Though I drawn the line at slapping/punching. Biting is good. Rope/restraints are good. Blindfolds. Whatever.

Its fun mixing things up a little. Moving it on to the chair/floor/wall/shower all help to spice things up! I personally like going from behind, especially up against the wall or up against the side of the bed.
On a chair is great too! I sit down and my gf will sit on top and go crazy. It helps if I thrust my hips up at the same time that she is pounding down.
If you do it in the shower you have to watch out for the water, I find it washes out the natural lube and makes it too frictiony (/painful) for her... so we usually move off to the part of the shower where water isnt falling on us.
