Is it good to contact past love interests?

My gf recently was texting an old love interest.
She sent me a text by accident, thinking I was him I guess... so I checked I asked her about it.
She stated that they use to like each other but never got together. He is currently in a relationship.
He has been texting asking to meet up BUT his gf cant know because she wouldnt like it.
Now, my gf just posted some hot modeling photos of herself online and he is a friend on her myspace. Right after she does this, he texts her looking to meet up. Coincidence? Hmmmm...

I asked he about it and she said that it is harmless if they meet up. I said "what do u think is on his mind? Tea or coffee? He is not sneaking out on his gf and traveling 65 miles to say "Hi". She said he probably DOES think that he can get with her sexually, but she dont. So why would I have a problem with her meeting up with him?

Am I nuts? Is there something wrong with this picture?

If I KNOW someone just wants to meet up to take a stab at sleeping with me, and I am with currently with someone, why would I even meet up? Especially when I know my partner wouldn't like the idea! When I said this to her she said, "So I cant talk to ex's now?" I said, "This is not an ex! This is someone who defenitely has ulterior motives!"
