My girlfriend called me , oh about 30 minutes ago, saying I need to meet her at the mall at 330. I told her I would be there and she said good, or i will whip your ass. I laughed and said oh ok i bet and she said oh i will and i said oh ok i'd like to see that

then she proceeded to ask me what my problem is

Well, without having been part of the call, I can't say. Maybe there was a tone in her voice you missed that said she was upset or something. Otherwise, I would have thought she was joking around, just as you apparently assumed. I actually happen to like when women are jokingly rough like that. So, I'd have just assumed she was joking/flirting. But, again... I wasn't on the call. Maybe there was some serious tone, or aggravation in her voice or something to say that she was upset. Still, she shouldn't have snapped at you like that anyway. But, I'd give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe she had a bad day or something. We've all been there where we are peeved for some reason, and we snap at people without really meaning to do so. So, just meet up with her at the mall and hopefully all goes well.

Well, that would be what I would think too, but then why would she get upset with you for joking back with her? I mean... unless she was also joking about being upset, but was just too convincing. Did you see her afterward? How did it go?
