Gay marriage and the Army.

Hello LF I have a quick question. My sister is planning on getting married tomorrow with her GF. The dilemma is we are hearing two different story's about this subject. My sisters GF is joining the Army and going to boot camp in a few weeks.

People are telling them that if she gets married she will not be accepted in the military or go to military jail because they don't accept it. Is this true? If she legally gets married in California will she be shunned from the Military? What kind of system is that? Can someone please clarify this for me please.

Will legally getting married in the U.S jeopardize a career in the Military?

It's true..I know someone who is bisexual, but he had to lie about it because he couldn't join the navy otherwise.

If your gay, your not allowed to join the army. At least, I think thats how it works...

No - you can still join. You just have to keep it to yourself. It's the "don't ask, don't tell" policy, which is one of the very few things Clinton did that pissed me off when he was president.
