Say something you don't like about loveforum, an area where it needs improvement. And then say something you do like about loveforum, an area where you think it's developing well.

I don't like, in fact I hate, new members that join and dig up a whole lot of long-dead advice threads and post nothing but vapid garbage like "love will find a way" or "you need to open your heart". I hate those people.


I do like the dynamics between the regulars on the boards. Nowhere else do you get a group of people who each other's inner workings so intimately without necessarily even liking each other. Sometimes the fights you get on here remind me of a big chaotic, bitter Christmas day where all the family drinks too much and starts firing personal attacks back and forth.
And it's because everybody's so different.

Before Loveforum I was a member of a surfing forum. There were some really funny guys on those boards. But we were all so similar. Most of us were from Sydney, surfed the same beaches etc In the end it all got too chummy, and I got bored. Here the differences in background and personality ensures there always a healthy dose of conflict.

Actually as well as doing a review of the Boards, let's do them on each other as well. Pick a person and point out where they're performing well and where they're performing poorly.

I'll start with: Eco

Where you're performing well: your keeping up a healthy post count.

Where you're performing badly: your posts indicate sub-par intelligence.

EDIT: Lets only do them about people.

You are the best of the newer posters, starbuck. You are clever and witty, and all the boys thinkyou are hot.

I also hate the fact that old thread can be bumped, and I hate when I post advice on them by accident because I didn't notice the original date.

No, no, no, this is all going horribly. If you want to post in this thread you must review either LF or one of its members. You must state one area where they are performing well, and another area where they need improvement. This thread is where you bring people to have an open, frank discussion with them about how they're measuring up. If handled with sensitivity, it could be a valuable tool to get the most out of the boards and its posters.

Where you're performing well
Your devastating critique of lil 'wing's painting was highly amusing. Also you are the board's only Estonian poster and we like to promote ethnic diversity here at LF.

Where you're performing poorly
Your depression, which evidently persists, is becoming tiresome. Comments like "I guess I'm just dissapointed with the world" don't add value, or align with board's objectives. You need to refocus the image you present because remember when you post you don't just talk for yourself, you carry the Love Forum brand. If you feel it might be of benefit, I can arrange up to two weeks' stress leave for you, or scale back your duties here at the forum. It would all be quite discreet. Also, I might send over a copy of the forum's policies on health and safety, which includes our stated commitment to the mental well-being of our postsers.


So booba, hopefully our little talk's confirmed our appreciation for your efforts, as well as given you some insight into some areas you can work at boosting your forum competencies.

I see I must repeat myself. This thread is for performance reviews! Not idle chit-chat. I really can't emphasise that key take-home point enough. Look at it now, it's all cluttered with rubbish.
