America also contributes heavily to alot of U.N. funds, so when you criticize their "help," you're sometimes criticizing the "help" of 192 other countries.

Yep, I'm no fan of Dubya, but I have to give the Bush administration some credit for the money we've spent on AIDS/HIV programs in developing nations. Yes, a small percentage of it was earmarked for teaching abstinence, but overall it's helped millions of people get life-saving medicine as well as testing and education.

with the world's largest economy the fact that it has a ridiculous bloated debt of $1.734 billion to an organisation that it asks to take on so much around the world.....from Darfur to Iraq to, most recently, Zimbabwe....... even with this funding, America is still dangerously underfunding peacekeeping missions in places like Chad, Kosovo, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, jeopardising the ability of these missions to be effective.
