Then you'd better go chase after him.
I just watched Bag of Bones....very thrilling, the ending was a little stupid tho.
I'm a gay man trapped in a woman's body lol.
Lol; I feel even worse for that "You" guy getting his name slandered.
The way you type and the vocabulary you use remind me of my ex-boyfriend. Everyone thought he talked strangely and that he was trying to sound more intelligent or impressive, when he actually wasn't doing anything of the sort; it's just his way of communicating.
I think it's a similar situation for you. Everyone who has replied to your thread seems to get the impression that you're haughty, pretentious and look down on others.
I'm not saying you should change your vocabulary or way of speaking. But since you do naturally communicate in this way, perhaps you should counter-balance your personality with more of an easy-going and tolerant attitude.
Yes, a lot of popular culture could be considered trash, but that doesn't mean you have to openly bash it at every opportunity in favor of your own, more "intellectual" tastes. Live and let live. As others have said, if you kept a more open mind, you might even find something to like (or at least tolerate) about a thing you scorn.
Also as others have said, you don't have to immediately assume everyone else is an idiot just because they like the latest Twilight movie or that new Lady GaGa hit. And in turn, there are some who think that anyone who enjoys a good Mozart concerto is a pretentious git. Find a way to meet in the middle, and you will have much more to work with.
^^ Thank you for actually understanding me; I've been bashed quite a bit (tendency to get misunderstood even in real life).
That's too bad. It could be due to the attitude that you didn't even know you were projecting. Hopefully this pair of outside eyes helps you see what you seem like to others.
Yep! I'll mirror everyone else's comments and say you sound like a douche bag
Oh, lookie here: A half-wit and hostile interloper. Way to contribute, bud.
Aha! See? You just proved my theory. That right there sounded haughty. I know it was a response to someone else's bash, but an eye for an eye, and all that. I can practically see you raising your shield of fancy words against the people who shrug you off as a better-than-thou jerk. But really, you're just trading insults, so no one is better than the other in this situation.
I always find it much better to shrug off insults, or make a self-deprecating remark and laugh it off. It'll make you seem so much more easy-going and good-natured. If you just raise your hackles and shoot back a fancier insult, no one gets anywhere.
