There are a lot of asshole mathematicians out there. That is true. I think its to make up for being 40-year old virgins and no social life. Or something like.

My high school math teacher was a homosexual
I bet he wanted to teach you all about his natural log, then.

Oh god. Then again this was a rumor I heard, not something I personally knew. A student actually asked him in class one time when asked if there were any questions about a conjecture. He left his job at my high school when the rumors got bad.
But he really loved the number 7!

I just read "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch. It was better than I expected. I sat in the bookstore reading it and crying.
God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.

If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

I didn't know there was a movie. I know the book, tho. Sniff.

No, not a movie. Literally his last lecture. It's a real tear-jerker, too. Especially the end.

I didn't cry at all watching it. I thought the book was a lot more moving.
The actual title of the book is I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell.
It is an auto-biography of a guy (Tucker Max) who lives his life as if there were no consequences for his actions. He is a self-proclaimed a**hole, it is almost to the point that he celebrates it. The book is set up more like a personal journal. The stories are almost outlandish. It may be the only book I have read non-stop cover to cover.
Frasbee caught me advertising in my signature, and this is my slap on the wrist. If I advertise anymore I know I will be banned.
Sounds like a guy I'd get along with. Hmm. Goddamn you people. My reading list is growing by the minute. Where am I going to put all these books?

I would get a small bookshelf, but that's just me.

I have two plus a box filled with unshelved books. I need a third and a fourth.

I have one bookcase, it's built into a wall in my room. Sadly there are very few books on it. A book really has to catch my eye for me to want to read it.
