Check places close to, but not within cities. Listings are generally vague and sound either like Chinese restaurants, ie. Asian Delight, or spas or health clubs. Always vague. You'll see a listing like Gold's Health Center with no info beyond a phone number. Massage parlors change their names frequently. Whenever they're busted they just pick a new name and start up again, so when you show up at the address odds are it will have different but equally vague name. if you aren't sure, give them a call. Not all, but most massage parlors are asian. If it meets the first criteria and an asian woman answers the phone it's probably a massage parlor.

If you want something in the city you generally have to rely on street walkers or escort services.

OMG! Have you been living in a cave?! There are fliers and papers with escorts and private stripper ads with telephone numbers almost everywhere in that city! believe me, I've been in Las Vegas around 6 or 7 times now, you walk down the strip, and there are even people handling those fliers to you even during broad day light, and it's perfectly legal.

I think prostitution can be horrible and exploitative. But I also think that everyone would be better off if it were legal. If you ban it you can't regulate it. So brothels turn up in strip-malls. Workers aren't required to be tested for STDs, nor are clients required to wear raincoats. Husbands go to these places, catch a disease, and bring it home to their wives. It's like prohibition. Banning it stems the flow a bit, but people still do it, only now they do so at their own risk. Very bad people profit from it and the prostitutes themselves have no real protection, no one they can turn to for help. It's a lose-lose situation, and all in the name of "morality".

I agree with you, Gribble. I think everyone who avails themselves of a prostitute's services should be required to show ID, too, and it should be tracked. Much of the social stigma should be removed and it should just be seen for what it is- just another kind of body work, like massage or Rolfing.

Too much mystique about sex. It's just sex, unless you're doing it with someone you're in love with.
