I find it slutty when a guy has to many girls and I am a guy. I think you speak for the group that acutally doesn't care about a girl's past. They just throw the word "slut" around to look cool infront of their buddies. I'm the real thing, I will pass up the BEST relationship EVER because of this issue and I will not look back....because it won't be the BEST thing ever thanks to this.

Ellynn, this has already been answered. The main reason there's a double standard is b/c guys have to work for sex while girls don't. A guy cannot whip out his dick at a club and get 10 girls to come home with him. However, a girl can wear slutty clothes, act flirty, and get 10 guys to come home with her. It takes skill and good looks for a guy to get laid, especially with an attractive girl. Society tends to reward people who work hard to achieve something while it frowns upon those who have it easy and take advantage of it. Girls who sleep around are seen as sluts who are taking advantage of the sexual inequality between men and women. There are also other reasons for the double standard.

I agree, also that some guys (like me) actually don't move on to relationship phase if the girl has alot of partners in the past while most girls just grind their teeth and then get over it. If the girls don't care? why should the guys?. Remember, actions speak LOUDER then words.

Girl #1 sleeps with three guys in the span of a month. She's a good person. She calls guys back, she's polite to them, she still spends time with them even if no sex is involved, she splits the cost of the dinner bill, and if she likes sex, then that's okay.

I would semi consider her a slut, but be more okay with this because the way the girl is acting. As she has some class in sleeping with various guys.

Girl #2 sees him as a VIP pass. Guy #2 she's not really attracted to, but he drives a nice car and has money all the time and is constantly buying her things. She thinks he's a loser, but still sleeps with him (oh, I actually dated this girl [I've known her since 4th grade]... no sex).

I would say that this girl is a gold digger slut, the type of girl I hate the most, and I also bet is the mostly likely to cheat on a guy as well.

Both are sluts. You can like sex but not have it with half the ****ing world. Either way, 3 in a month is alot. I would consider that semi normal for a life time. What contitutes for a slut has nothing to do with behavior in my opinion, simply to many sex partners, in maybe a small period of time as well. It seems like you are saying that if she is nice to her **** buddies then it makes it ok, that makes no sense to me. Her personality and sex life are to seperate things and the word "slut" refers to someones sex life and not their personality.

That is your opinion and I think it is false, I say the opposite is true as well. There are great people with horrible pasts and there are great people with pasts that fit my "confined" definition as you put it. There are also terrible people with both pasts as well. You are stereotyping to make youself feel better in excepting a person's past. Like I said, personality has nothing to do with sexual history and the word slut is tied only to the sexual past. I simply make this choice on what makes me happy, If a girl has had alot of partners...I find it to be something that makes me not happy.
