This can happen to anyone. Most people wonder is the grass greener at some point. Its normal to experience doubts or hit rough patches etc I lost a close relative to cancer nearly four years ago and it had a huge affect on my relationship but we got through it and were v happy again now. It pushed a wedge between us emotionally but it was just temporary

I'm sorry to hear that. I lost my uncle to cancer as well. Still think about him everyday. I wasn't dating my girlfriend at the time but she was still there for me. I probably wouldn't have been able to get through it if it wasn't for her and the rest of my family. It's times like those that really show you who you can count on.

If your relationship was able to survive something hard like that then it sounds like you guys are pretty much pros

Ya I still think about her every day too. And ya he was amazing, he stayed strong for both of us while I was a mess. It proved to me I have the right one for me

    Sorry about your uncle too.

Im only 24 lol. I think the best advice I can give is to never leave someone for someone else. Leave if your unhappy and its not working but take some time out to be alone then. Our emotions are complex and we do need time out after a breakup to heal, reflect, learn and figure out what we want next.

I coulda sworn you were older haha. I like how people here give in detailed advice. People are ususally like extremely vague with me,"just do it" or "just make it work" with no other explanation or any suggestions on how. Or you know my mom will just smack me across the back of the head and say "don't go ****ing shit up" which I guess is pretty good life advice now that I think about it haha.
