    *sigh*

Come on Nomas, I've said it like a hundred times (but not really).
AmeriCorps doesn't start until September. Rest assured, it is a DEFINITE that I am going, regardless of what I do in the mean time.

Here let me explain my little situation.

Because I'm not a full time student (cause I'm not in school at all) as soon as I turn 19 I am no longer eligible under my step mother's health insurance. Unfortunately at my job, at my current position doesn't allow me access to any health plan.

Now lately, I've been tryin' to find out whether they're gonna move me up, because my store manager is leaving, everybody has a chance to get a step up. However despite my attempts to find out whether I will be promoted, he just beats around the bush, that I may or may not be promoted. If you ask me, it would be complete bullshit if they don't promote me, I've been workin as a grunt for over a year now, and I can already do more than half the work a managerial position does, and I'm not even supposed to.

So because I turn 19 in May, I need to start lookin' for another job that will provide health insurance for the few months between turning 19 until I'm joined with AmeriCorps. So that's basically June July and August. Plus, my job pays shit and I'm sick of it. I'd love to try my hands in the kitchen as I've always thought about culinary art school.

See if, AmeriCorps were to have put me in California, I would be able to help out with forest fires or any other disaster in your area.

Or was that if they put me in Colorado?

    No matter.

probably california, colorado doesn't have much of a problem with forest fires. but yes if you are in either place you'll probably be coming out to help with the fires. last year california had really bad fires. arizona got one last year or the year before just north of flagstaff. and new mexico gets them all over the place. we have at least one shithead every year start a fire in the bosque here in albuquerque with fireworks or something. and at least one other shithead will start one with a campfire somewhere. it's so dry here. every year people lose their houses, it's really sad.

This year's trips are looking like this:

Florida in a couple of days:

Puerto Vallarta (beach in Mexico) in May/Jun

Then I want to go to Las Vegas in about April, maybe Boston for July 4th...though I'm starting to double guess on that one.. Then to Candada through either Seattle first, or Buffalo, NY for the Niagara Falls experience and then to Toronto. Then, of course, Europe in August/Sept...but I'll be out of work by then.

I was actually looking to go to Chicago at some point, Amber..but it doesnt look like it'll happen this year.

Actually, after my Chihuahua adventure I'm looking to go to school full time again and I definitely want to go to some place with 4 seasons..probably in the east, I was looking at a school in Pensylvania: Lehigh University...mainly for the pretty pictures I've seen of the place..funny but the way a campus looks is an important factor this time around. I also wanted to go somewhere BIG..I mean somewhere at least close to a big city, like Chicago, NY, Philly..etc. Or maybe somewhere in the south, like a New Orleans...

Man, I wish I could do it all...I hope I have enough life to do it.
