Yes we can recognize talent, people have been hired right on the spot without any training. The reason they get hired is by their ability to have a professional attitude and accept taking on responsibilities effortlessly. That is what we look for, it's very simple.
What we do doesn't take a rocket scientist, it's just physically demanding at times. We are very proactive with our training and safety BUT you have to have common sense and be able to solve problems by thinking out side of the box.
You guys act like we don't give people a chance...f uckin rights we do. We give people a fair shake if they have the right attitude and show willingness to work hard.
We do hire people through ads placed in the paper, and other agencies, but also word of mouth.....that's how I got hired.
In our industry, you don't go to universities to scout out people, there is no degree for what we do, it's all hands on experience, and training passed on from senior staff. You can also move up to different levels in the company if you are ambitious enough.
