Ok yeah, I see what you mean. Shouldn't be an obstacle or an excuse though, since there are ways out.
Either way, usualy the abuser doesn't leave, the victim does, unless the victim involved legal services, then the abuser does.
I'd still like to see the day an abuser leaves voluntary.

I'm truely sorry that you are going through so much. You mention that you didn't understand why you keep getting involved in these types of reltionships. It's become a cycle for you as sad as it may sound you have become accustom to this type of treatment. You need to walk away from the relationship and seek help for yourself. Until your able to talk to someone professionally about what's going on inside of you. Your going continue to get involved in these types of relationships.
I know what u are going threw for 8 long years. You have to decide foryourself that you are worth more. Get help seak counceling. figure out why you put up with being treated like this. Every person on earth deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Hopefully you will not hit rock bottom before standing up straight and tall and deciding you have had enough.
