I hate rap.
I hate rap.
I have alot of friends that like a few emo bands, but I'm pretty sure they don't know that it's emo. They're into Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional, etc. Some of them are pretty emotional and take things way too seriously and are very dramatic, while others are popular and not emotional at all.
I just don't like the music. I like rock, but not emo. I'm into metal, hard rock, some punk (like Green Day), etc. I don't get caught up in genres. If it's good, I'll listen to it. If it blows, I won't. It's that simple. I don't like emo, therefore I don't listen to it.
The emo kids are rather annoying, however. I know a guy who had some sort of eating disorder. He didn't make himself throw up, he just worked out all the time and forgot to eat. Now he has to eat only certain foods. Vegetables, fruits, no meat, that kind of stuff.
Another girl is into the music and she was bilemic AND anorexic. It's pretty sad that emo has had so much influence on people. I guess you could say I hate it.
Wow, that girl sounds just like me.
Fred has the right idea.
Nothing in music that is being done hasn't been done before. It's all the same problems and issues that were there 20-30 years ago.
This is just the new flavor of the week.
In a couple years it will be something else as well, but they will still be crying about the same sort of things, wearing unusual clothing, and generally trying to upset the "norm" of society and "stand out".
