Manga is Japanese Animation, I think ...

Intelligence is only scary because it poses a threat to losing arguments with your significant other ... haha jk ...

Intelligence is important for longterm relationships because it normally doesn't get old ...

I find them titillating and refreshing. I don't think of myself as overly intelligent, about average I'd say, but I LOVE deep intellectual conversations. However, I sometimes have difficulty separating the emotion from the cerebral side of the topic. But it's all good.
ahem! back to the original topic.

nobody can ever be too smart. what i do not like to date is a closed-minded factual individual. the kind of people that will argue about anything that they don't think is right.

i don't like people with a lack of common sense either.

Stupid is as stupid does. I've known some allegedly genius-level guys who didn't have the sense God gave a dog. I'm all for intelligence, but I prefer to see somebody who actually tries.

It's not intimidating to me at all. Just better vocabulary during arguments.

Just for the record I don't think having intelligence has ever won an argument against someone who is either irrational, stubborn, or has too big an ego. This makes arguments unwinnable against 95% of the population

This is why it is pointless to ever try to argue a liberal, logical and rational thinking don't count

Besides, most arguments are pointless to begin with and people think there is something intelligent about using petty technicalities on words or other things and using witty insults against the other person. It's definitely a measurement of who is more of a wordsmith and quicker on their feet

I don't know who you've been arguing with, but the reason it's a bad idea to argue with a liberal is because his opponent is usually wrong.
Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

No I totally agree, conservatives are wrong just as much. But a bigger part of their problem is they are too proud or wimpy to admit they were wrong, whereas liberals are too zealous to understand they are wrong

QFT. Sometimes, 'winning' a small battle means losing the war. There are quite a few 'geniuses' who don't understand this simple idea.

I vote for intelligence, applied with finesse.

Isn't it funny how women are stereotyped as the 'talkers'?

Man, I had a guy today who just wouldn't STFU. I'm still not very good at cutting those sorts of ppl short. Can't they *tell* my eyes are glazing over? Maybe I should start humming showtunes to myself or something when that happens...

I recently read a study that found that there is no significant difference between genders with regards to who is more talkative...

Oh yea! I read that too!! If I remember right, there was a big difference tho in the range of # of words used. Women's word usage range was a lot tighter than men's. My husband cut the article out of the paper for me, lol.
