Dog Owners are more active than Cat Owners?
I have never owned a cat because I have a phobia of them... so erm...
I had a cat that I taught to walk on the leash... he was a highly sociable cat. Even was able to take him to PetSmart and he was quite the little celebrity.
I took him for daily walks and had gotten plenty of exercise.
However, at the moment I'm back to owning a dog (had to give the cat away when I moved from Dallas). He requires at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday... which does encourage one to be more active.
As a general rule, I'd have to say that dogs lend one to be more active since they are more demanding of their owner's attentions than a cat is (usually). Though as mentioned above, there are exceptions.
