I actually gave myself a 7 in general because i feel im decent looking but not anything special, there are some HOT women in the world that need the 9's and 10's.

But if im judging myself on people around me, im in an office full of truly ugly mofo's...like REALLY ugly!..in which case i upgrade myself temporarily to a 9.8

I tend to think that people rate themselves lower than what they would actually be rated by other people.
Others see us differently, to how we see ourselves.

I was rated 9.8 on a 'rate me' website and by over 9,000 people.
However, when rating myself, I'd say an 8, 8.5 maybe....

I remember something like this being on tv once and the participants (women) had to rate themselves on a scale of 1 - 10.

The guys had to then rate each of these women and what the guys rated them, was actually higher than the women had rated themselves.

The same experiment was done with men. The men rated themselves quite highly.... a lot higher than what the women rated them and when it was their turn to rate.

So women tend to deduct points and men add them on...lol

I think this is generally true, however, I know that of the posters whose pics I have seen, at least one of the males posters that responded rated himself accurately (IMO), and another was far too harsh.

Actually, I wasn't referring to shorty, but you are right - make that 2 males who were too harsh. Shorty's smile can light up a dark room.

I do tend to be generous, though. I think one advantage to not being so young anymore is that you tend to find a wider variety of things attractive.

Also, you would never be a four in my book.
