Cybog is hella bitter about something!

I just despise the endorsement or even exploitation of eating disorders, which is what emo is to me.

And Misombra is very correct, those bands are not "garbage music" in the least.

sorry cy, but the beatles and pink floyd (i could really give a s.hit about those other bands you named) didn't just put words together and pawn it off as music. those bands combined incredible music and timeless lyrics. their music has been orchestrated and played by symphonies all over the world.

check out some pink floyd lyrics, you will find that they make sense in a very profound way.

anyway, i have to stick up for the beatles and pink floyd. saying they are garbage music that doesn't make any sense is just blasphemy.

how i wish you were here
we're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year.
running over the the same old ground
what have we found? the same old fears
    i wish you were here...

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly.
    All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise.
Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see.
    All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to be free.

    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown
    The dream is gone
    And I have become
    Comfortably numb

the reason you don't make sense is because those lyrics are great, and they make sense. those aren't words just jumbled up and put out as music they're beautiful lyrics set to beautiful music. my mind just can't conceive that you are saying these things.

I don't like emo. I find it very depressing and annoying. People I know that call themselves "emo" always make these sayings up of why they are so sad. I've constantly heard, "Oh my, I am so sad, I cry a sea of blood as my heart breaks." Thats just an example, but I always here crying and blood in the same sentence. Drives me nuts.

I never label myself a certain genre as a person, that quite frankly is lame. Although I mainly love Rock/Alt./Punk(which includes emo, screamo, etc), I can apprecate other forums of music as well.

That being said, I've been a writer all my life, so I'm allowed to write stuff like that. I don't just listen to emo, and then "pretend" to be sad when im not. When I'm sad, I'm sad. When I'm happy, I'm happy.

Something that Cy said in the last page...and is probably why I'm so dispassionate about stuff. It's all a cycle. Talk to anyone older than you and you'll see it's no different today than it was twenty, thirty, forty, fifty years ago. Styles change, music changes, words, but messages are the same. It goes almost for all aspects of society, if not ALL. Promiscuity, rebelliousness, idealisms..few new things come about, and then they do, they're thrown into the cycle and be recycled for ever more as well.

That's why I'm not passionate about many things. Observe these older people that have shit together, things figured out more so than yourself....try to see things their way and you'll be a step ahead of the game.

Ha ha..but it's a catch 22...I was way ahead of the game most of my life in certain things and now I see myself behind..wanting to do things I should have just done when I was a teenager and later on in college...

    Whatever..just whatever, everybody...

Er, first of all. I can't upload any pictures onto LF gallery anymore.

Secondly, my tongue has finally decided to swell up today so I ain't gonna be taking any pictures of it until probably the weekend.

Thirdly, I can talk fine, lol.
