Hopefully, shes not living at home. If a dancer (I dont like the term stripper) but if she still living a home then she's doing terribly.

Nathoonder, you may need help if the majority of your finances it going towards this woman. This reminds me of a facebook debate a while ago and my good friend who happens to be a guy argued his point regarding this sort of situation. Maybe this will help you, pasted below.

I was responding to another Facebook post…Where a stripper was complaining about some guy she was dating that cheated on her and a guy stated most strippers are messed up in the head and cheat more and he got attacked so I had to chime in and say a few words…Here is my take on the subject.“Women often lie and cheat as much as men and it’s much easier for them because any attractive women can find a man to cheat with pretty much all day long no matter where they go. They are just better at hiding it. Most strippers are messed up in the head. This opinion comes from my experience of dating strippers, models and other very attractive women and talking to my friends that have also done the same or even run strip clubs. And also many strippers have been raped or molested at one time in their life and stripping is their way of taking back their sexual power. (I’m not saying that is the case with all of them but it seems to be a trend.)On the up side Strippers are fun, often generous (the good ones), and hot to look at, outgoing and fun to hang out with, and most but not all are generally more sexual and many have good hearts.I dated a 10 that was a stripper many years ago and she told me when we broke up “Nico, don’t date strippers, you can’t trust them.” and that was coming from a stripper.I did not listen as I just stopped dating another stripper that was reliable, did not do drugs or drink did not live the stripper lifestyle (about 10% if that much are like this) and was my best friend, but that’s no longer because she has daddy issues that caused resentment toward men and I got tired of verbal attacks becuase of her issues.Everyone is an individual but certain industries do attract certain kinds of people and personalities. Strippers and Girls in Porn act differently that a Woman that’s a lawyer, actresses also have their own peculiarities. So in closing All strippers are NOT crazy, cheating, lying, whores…But you can bet there is a fair share of them out there that are crazy, will cheat, and some will have sex for money. So don’t be blinded by their beauty look for their beauty in their actions to show you who they really are![/COLOR]

I don't like the term stripper either but she doesn't have a preference. Anyway she has her own place.

I have a friend that was in the same situation as you. He lived at home until he had enough to buy his own condo outright, now he's completely independent, etc.

I was in the same sort of situation also. My (now ex) lived with his ex. After they broke up, she had no place to go, and because he was only home once a week due to his job, he let her stay there until they were able to sell the house.

It didn't really put a strain on our relationship, because I understood the situation, but it did make things awkward because I lived with a roommate. We could never really be alone and often had to resort to getting hotel rooms, etc JUST so we could have alone time.

At first glance to someone, your situation would be a turn-off because they don't know WHY you live at home. But if it's someone that understands that you have goals, and a reason to live at home, they SHOULD be understanding.

If you read this thread more you would see the only reason he asks is because he seems to think this stripper he is hanging out with will commit to a serious relationship with him if he had his own place. He is fishing for answers as to why she doesn't want a relationship with him....it's already pointed out it's because she is a stripper and is using him for his money....he has already burned through $1000 bucks for nothing. Could of gotten 10 to 20 hookers for that. I wonder what he bought his mom for mothers day? 20 bucks on a bouquet of flowers and a card probably. So you can see where his priorities are at.

I'm not laboring under the misapprehension that acquiring my own place will all of a sudden make this girl want to be with me. However, she did express that if she were to get a boyfriend he'd have to have his own place, so in obtaining an apartment of my own I am not transgressing her relationship parameters. I love this person very much, I look forward to seeing her everyday, even on days I can't and the thought of her makes every day a little brighter. So being with this person would make me extremely happy and if having my own abode improves my odds then I'd like to go through with it.

I'd rather spend a night talking with her than sleeping with any hooker.
As for Mother's Day , my mother didn't receive a gift from me. I have done so much for her within the last year I viewed it as unnecessary.

I don't see what the big deal is as long as you have a job and goals, and aren't just some freeloader. If she has her own place, and it's a matter of wanting privacy with you, you can always spend your down time at her place. If she cares about you, and wants to be with you, it won't be a deal breaker.

I've dated men with their own place and men still living at home. It didn't make a difference.

Why do you doubt it? My friend is a pole dance teacher and she has a pole on her balcony....
Never regret anything that has happened in your life. It cannot be changed, forgotten or undone. So, take it as a lesson learned and move on.

Well I'm 31 and live with my parents again, but not by my doing. I rented a very nice apartment in the downtown area of my city for a few years and was saving for a house. But, recently (or at least I was just made aware of it recently) my parents got into some financial trouble (dad was laid off, bad investments, etc), couldn't pay their mortgage and actually were almost foreclosed on. I had to move back home to help them out. I do pretty well financially for a guy my age, so I got them completely caught up on the morgage and have been making extra payments for them.

But, I did this to help my family as they took care of me for most of my life. My GF has her own place and has no problem with me living with my parents. However, the good thing is that my parents are back on track and I'm starting to save for a home again. I have even started looking for apartments, but I think I will give my parents 2-3 months of cushion before I stop paying their mortgage.

This is terrific. It's cool to see there are still some standup people around. Your gf is lucky to have you.
