No. I hate him more because I hate subjecting myself to dating. It makes me anxious. I hate having strangers trying to touch me, and I hate feeling like it's an audition.

I missed this part. Instead of an audition, think of it as networking with interesting people. I did this and it helped relieve my stress about 'judging' someone, too. Sometimes we ended up talking about work and I just gave them my card. You need to use your judgement, but noone sane will hound you in your professional capacity. I met a nice comp sci guy who turned out to be on the advisory board for a facility in my faculty at the university. It's a small world.
