big island... you have to check out the hilton waikaloa.. it's the best resort that i've been to on that island. however, i think it was rated around number 4 out of the best places to stay within the islands.

That's not in Kona, is it? I don't like crowds...

We stay at the little Japanese Inn on the West side & camp on the beach for the rest.

In Honolulu tho, we stay at the Marriot or Hawaiian Villiage. They are both nice.

haha honestly i have been to the big island like twice, and i can barely remember anything of my last trip there because i was so long ago. i don't remember if it's on hilo or kona side, but i think that it's hilo.

as for the hilton, they built a new tower there and they are working on another one. that place is freaking huge.

It is. We were there for a conference. Got lost first time navigating around all the shops, etc. It was much bigger than I was expecting also.

My son loves that shop that has the giant fishtank you can go inside.

the duty free shop in the middle of waikiki?? actually the duty free shops are international. and as for the fish tank, they torn it down and used it for more shopping space. however, if you visit the pacific beach hotel, they have a HUGE tank that is the center of their main restaurant.
