does the news slow down the forum? ??

preview text have been increase from 10 to 100 now.

previously, it is set to 300... but it might make the thread title get clusttered with too many text..

That's why we want the HOVER function back, not the "read the first lines of a post directly under the title of the thread" function...

1) no, because it slows down the forum to a crawl

We had the hover function until a few days ago, and the forum wasn't slower or faster than it is now.

4) no, once a post has been around for a while and has context, it should lock in IMO, just for purposes of integrity to the thread.

Then at least we should be able to delete the threads we have opened, at any time??
