woah, where do you guys live? My old roommate had this bf who hit her like every week or so (she hit him back as well). His only explaination for his behaviour is "because i'm a guy, guys are violent"... and she went on dating him for a year (in that period, he hit her, steal from her and very possessive of her, cheat on her - my roommate enjoined all his gifts, ask him to do her homework etc). I offered to help but she said she didnt need it. End up calling police on him... When the police came, he run to meet them first and said she was hitting him first and showed his scars... They both end up got a warning. No prison for the guy

I have to say, i saw a lot of girls got hit and noone help them. It's really horrible
