Attractiveness is relative. I could find a man drop dead gorgeous, and you could find him repulsive. Different people are attracted to different things.

David Beckham on the other hand makes a good role model in terms of his leadership and sportsmanship, so yeah - I can see why he's respected.

Not sure why I should necessarily respect an academic.

I know, it's quite sad. The world could happily do without Beckham, but Feynman has influenced the world in so many ways.
