It's called May December romance when there is a significant age disparity between a man and a woman who are romantically involved with each other. That term is used I guess because the romance is not supposed to last longer than that.

I wouldn't worry too much about age disparity. People cannot dictate to you what makes you happy. If you find the right person, you will know. And YES, love is very important in a relationship, so is tolerance, patience, and understanding.

It's just a saying, that's all. Just because a man/woman dates someone who's more than say 15 years older/younger than them, doesn't automatically mean that it will be a short love affair. Not at all! Men and women of ALL ages break hearts/cheat/get bored... If love isn't there to begin with, mutual love and respect, then chances are the relationship won't last.

Age is only a silly number.
