God, so atrocious in the Old Testament, so attractive in the New--the Jekyl and Hyde of sacred romance.

If people are good only because they fear punishment and hope for reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed.

I hope this whole situation is going to make auto makers rethink their future market strategies. Oil is on its way out (literally over the next couple of decades). Auto makers should be more robust getting into the renewable fuel market, there are so many ideas out there.
Don't cry, don't regret and don't blame

Towards the sun, carry your name
In warm hands you are given
Ask the wind for the way
Uncertainty's gone, your path will unravel
Accept all as it is and do not blame

oil is out. let the water wars begin!

I understand the economic implications of the big automakers going under, but I still think it's bullshit for the gov't to bail them out. They're not an 'essential' service like the banks are.
Besides, if I buy a new car it's sure as shit not going to be domestic.

US, German, Japanese, and Korean cars ALL suck
Italian cars like Lamborghinis and Ferraris ftw
Japanese make some of the best cars in the market btw.
Don't expect anything.
In terms of reliability yeah. That's why my parents have 2 Toyotas, a Camry and Corolla
The government could bail out the workers instead. Create new jobs for them. maybe they could fix some of the ****ing pot holes around here, or maybe clean up some industrial waste caused by the auto industry.
I don't think the actual auto corporations deserve to be kept alive. They're not viable. Infusing them with money would be like putting a corpulent, cancer-riddled, comatose, radioactive 87-year-old man on life support at a thousand dollars a day just so the nurse that takes care of him can keep her job. She can get another job, and the guy is at death's door anyway. Pointless.
That's probably what's going to happen, though, since our government is about a jacked up as our medical system.
I think we should go Kevorkian on the American auto industry.
