Two things I have to add:

1. Some people simply don't seem to understand there's a (very) thin line between sarcastic humor and being condescending, being disrespectfull or even being insulting.

2. In any relation there will be a time when arguments arrise. That's normal. The trick is to argue in a mature, respectfull and healthy way and to remember it's ok to disagree. Those who think or believe arguments will never happen in a relation live in some kind of a fantasy world.
