Plus, it only gets easier to discipline and fire people the more you do it.
Eventually it kinda turns into fun.

Hey grammar sucks ass..does she really consider this a profesional email?
update:
she got a warning yesterday. she was supposed to serve defense with exhibits, while i asked court for a new date of hearing. that obviously never got done. defense filed an objection to my court date, thus she got a warning.
on the other hand, she was out for the last 2 days cuz her son is in the hospital and it feels shitty giving someone a warning while they are out with a sick child.
blah.

Maybe, but if you ever been on a large, commercial, non-union job, I can see how firing pricks could be a lot of fun.
Don't feel bad Sonrisa, we have a large government welfare system to catch her kind.
She'll sip on our tax dollars for a good while I'm sure, but at least she'll be out of your hair.
I get it. In my field, one tries to avoid hiring the pricks in the first place. I can see, tho, for certain work how it might not matter until you want to get rid of them.
Anyway, I'm sure it must suck for Risa. Office environment is different. Have you thought about putting her into a different job? If you offer her a position that is more suited (dumbed down), or she won't succeed at, then you can get rid of her based on her probation period. You won't have to go through the firing BS. Just a thought.

Bloody hell, that sucks for you then. We had an admin associate we induced to leave by cranking up her workload until she couldn't handle it (she wasn't dealing anyway and she knew it) but I don't know you want to go that route. It took about a month w/weekly reviews and she wasn't pregnant. I'm out of ideas except the obvious but she will claim its b/c she's pregnant. Good luck.
