If I"m not mistaken, that is a pretty rough area. Isn't it down by South Los Angeles? I am in the northern part of LA County.

Relax... I'll need some information first. Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts?

That's where my pops lives.
Eh - I'm not snobby; I just wanted to explain where I was in relationship to Huntington Park.

Why, you gonna kick it with me if I come to LA?

Valencia is nice but has become extremely expensive like everything in So. Cali. This area I'm in actually reminds me of the Santa Clarita Valley (as I remember it, it's been a few years) No graffitti, no gangs, little traffic, friendly people.
Examples: I had a minor problem with my car late one night on a dark country road, pulled over to the shoulder and not one but two people stopped to help within a few minutes. If I'd been in L.A. I'd assumed I was about to be robbed, but no. One was a mechanic who fixed the problem and wouldn't even let be give him a payment for his help.
Bought a lawn mower at Home Depot. Needed help loading it up in the parking lot and was waiting for a sales clerk who promised to give me a hand. Meanwhile, a guy in a truck stops, walks over and says 'let's do it.' Loaded it up and I offered to buy him a beer for his help but he refused and drove off.
Nice place, nice people, safe, affordable, great beaches, cheap fresh seafood right off the boats, could be paradise but IT NEEDS MORE WOMEN!.
PS: I still don't get Lloyds joke.

Yeah, that's the place, but there's lots of women now. However, they are all married. This is very much a family community.Originally Posted by blackiesharley

thanks for your opinions guys especially vashti, I guess if our love is as strong as we think it is, we'll do just fine.
And since you know you cannot see yourself,
so well as by reflection, I, your glass,
will modestly discover to yourself,
that of yourself which you yet know not of.
I agree with Vashti that if you've been amrried for awhile long distance relationships wouldn't be as bad as when your just dating and getting to know one another. But I don't think I could do it either way, i need that personable connection.
