Before she broke up with her boyfriend, I think she said she dated him for 3 or 4 months. It's good that we have exams for the next week, so that will keep things from moving too fast.

I bought her an Xmas gift already...not sure if that was a good idea. I went with the safe bet and got her a rare collectible plush character that she draws on her papers all the time. After I bought it...it turns out that she has a similar one that was given to her by her now plutonic friend (they dated a little bit in the past) from a few years ago. So....i hope this doesn't jinx it.

How did you find out she already has a similar one? I hope the gift wasn't too expensive, otherwise she might feel a bit awkward if a)she didn't get you a gift and b) she's not quite that "far" yet in the relationship. But I mean if it's something you can get just for a friend, too, then that's awesome!
