There is a difference between a handyman and an engineer. Apparently you wouldn't know
Then be more specific with what you mean.

All these people with service type jobs
    includes them to.

    Who's the idiot here?

Ygg, DM wants to be a physician. Anesthesiology, if he can get accepted into med school. He forgets medicine is a service business; car mechanics for people.
Second thoughts can generally be amended with judicious action; injudicious actions can seldom be recovered with second thoughts.

The number of work hours in various countries are irrelevant to your argument. It's how the hours are worked which is the key.

Secondly, my dad has been to Japan before when working with them on projects and knows firsthand the long hours they work. At least the engineers at the company they were working with
    And?

I think she meant more money towards public facilities like transport systems and healthcare and not socialism Doc. Half of the people I meet here complain about both with passion. And through my personal experience I'm already coming to the same conclusion. Sydney transport is crappy, but it's heaven compared to Chicago public transport system. It needs a lot more investment and development.

Australia is an overtaxed artificially inflated economy which operates with capitalism when it suits, and socialism when they want to raise taxes and fill coffers.

Get out of there while you can.

No way dude. It's been a lucky country for a century for a reason. It's much better there than anywhere else I've been so far.

No I don't. I just want to make a lot of money and at least doctors are an actually required service. And I like the "if he can get accepted into medical school." I don't know anyone here who COULDN'T get into medical school that had a 3.0 GPA or better

It is not irrelevant at all asshole

You're saying having a sample size of 20 people you bumped into in Japan is worth more than the business reports of the millions of workers. ok then, have it your way

It has to do with easily dismissing someone regardless of how dumb the basis of dismissing that person is

It's been the "lucky country" because Australians keep calling it the lucky country.

I've been around, and I've spent a considerable amount of time in Australia.

It's an overpriced shithole full of fattened bureaucrats, an overtaxed blue/medium white collar underclass, no Bill of Rights to speak of (Unless you plead your case to the producers of ACA: Australian Current Affair), a collapsing medicare system which they're barring more and more working people from rightfully accessing according to the original charter, the banks are an oligarchy, the people lax, and the real estate where there's any fresh water (more or less around the costs) is priced out the realm of the average home in other parts of the world with similar populations.

Don't get me started about Arsestralia.
