I've heard Brazilian cuisine is delicious, it's one of the few I haven't tried. There's a restaurant in Vancouver, I think it's called Samba, does Brazilian cuisine and apparently they bring the meat to your table skewered on a sword. Then they cut slices off of it for you.

I want food served to me off a sword, that's freakin awesome.

That's exactly what they did! All off their meat came off the swords with the smoke still coming off of it. And they just keep on bringing it to you even when you're struggling to finish. This was the first time I've tried Brazilian and it definitely left an impression. I highly recommend it.

Okay, that's my New Year's resolution. I'm finally going to go to Samba. I've been saying it for five years.

Coco, seriously. Anyone that comes to Vancouver for New Year's INSTEAD OF VEGAS is not making a good choice! They don't compare AT ALL. I do Vegas on Halloween, and it kicks so much ass.

Halloween there is soooo awesome, you see the best costumes ever. The casinos often have costume contests with big cash prizes, so people really go all out. Some you just look at and say "Wow.....how did they DO that?" and some are just really funny. There was a guy dressed as a giant penis walking down the strip behind me. As he walked, his legs would kick the "balls" alternately. It was actually really well made!

Where are you staying when you go? I'm going in April and I'm staying at Vdara. It hasn't even opened yet. All suites.

:O How did you get a room there?! Someone else brought up this place when I mentioned going to Vegas! We got rooms at Bellagio right now. I never been there and the other time I went to Vegas I was at The Mirage.

Ugh, we were TRYING to get rooms at the Bellagio, but there was nothing available when we were going. Lucky!

Vdara is booking for March/April because I believe it's opening in Jan or Feb. We got a sweet deal on the room....an introductory price I guess, to get people in. There's no casino in it though, even though it's right in the middle of the strip!
